Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) è una guardia di sicurezza notturna in difficoltà che inizia a lavorare per una tavola calda locale, il Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Mentre sta svolgendo il primo turno di lavoro, Mike si rende che quella notte non sarà così facile da portare a termine.

L'uomo scopre che i robot animatronici del locale non sono semplice ferraglia, ma sono vivi. La notte queste creature si animano e reclamano un tributo di sangue. Riuscirà Mike a sopravvivere per cinque notti nella tavola calda infestata?
